One of the most renowned and cherished names in the world of cigars, Montecristo has consistently delivered exceptional blends for decades, launched in 1935 by the H. Upmann factory as a tribute to the Count of Monte Cristo - the cigar-smoking hero of Alexandre Dumas’s novel.

Montecristo’s perfectly balanced blends are crafted exclusively with selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone, known for producing the finest tobaccos in the world. The Especial No.2 is one of the brand's older formats, with a ring gauge of 38. It is among the last survivors of the Panetela format still being produced in Cuba.

Finished in a beautiful pigtail cap, this Montecristo Especial No.2 encases a complex flavour profile of oaky white wine and orange peel notes, balanced by an earthy undertone of coffee bean and almond nuttiness. It is a wonderful smoke to accompany a smooth cup of hand-drip coffee.
